I’m Nina, but you can call me Neens—because who doesn’t love a good nickname? I was born in Bangkok, Thailand, did a brief stint in New Zealand, and now I’m enjoying life in sunny California. My globe-trotting adventures have given me a unique perspective on the world, which is just a fancy way of saying I’m super curious about what makes everyone tick (and eat!).
For the past few years, I’ve been juggling roles as a brand designer and user interface designer for small agencies, local businesses, entrepreneurs, and startups—basically, anyone who needs a sprinkle of creativity in their lives. From charming coffee shops to high-tech software for living trusts (yes, you heard that right), I’ve seen how people’s stories shape their views, and it’s my job to turn those tales into something visually delightful.
I kicked off my career in the government communication sector for the City of Campbell and later launched my freelance gig, Nonsense Studio, because, let’s face it, who doesn’t want to mix a bit of nonsense with their design? I’ve also dabbled in a startup and a law firm, where I helped create living trusts (It's been a wild ride and I wouldn't have it any other way).
When I’m not busy crafting designs with empathy and purpose, you can find me obsessively exploring the underground third wave coffee scene (seriously, I might need an intervention), starting new books (and letting them collect dust), or getting lost in art museums.
Thanks for stopping by and getting to know me—I promise I’m more fun than your last Zoom meeting!
